Black Glue

Day 1:
The children made a drawing of themselves using black paint and glue. The children first mixed the color black with glue inside a bottle and shook the bottle until it was mixed. Once it was fully mixed they started their drawing with the shape of their heads eyes and mouth. The children are excited to see the drawing once it dries up.

The children painted a fall leaf yesterday while looking at the leaf. They practice their art and fine motor skills making this fun activity. They each observe their friends leafs and notice the differences of each leaf.

Thinking outside the Dot

The children read a story called “The dot”.Its about a boy who was upset that he couldn’t paint or draw and just marked a dot on his paper. His teacher was so proud of the dot so she hangs it up but then the boy decides to make a bigger dot and add different colors. He was then proud of his work. The children in our class got inspired of the story and decided to paint their own special dot!

Bright Feathers

They children drew bright feathers today. Every child got a feather and pretended they were a bird. They got tired of flying and flapping their wings so they sat down and observe their feathers. They saw that each feather had a lot of soft sticks. They grab the color of the feather and they drew it onto a black paper.

The children had so much fun yesterday during science. The children choose to make slime for science. They first mixed glue with water and added food coloring. Then they mixed borax with hot water. They combined both ingredients and made slime!

The children had so much fun during gymnastics yesterday. They learned new techniques to jump highher. The children practice their listening skills, Large-motor, and following direction in a fun way.

The children had fun making a collage today. They had different type of materials such as tissue paper, construction, foil etc. In each material box they had number 1,2, and 3 which were the steps that went first. During this activity the children practice their social skills, fine-motor, and following direction.

. During this activity the children practice their sense of touch, feel, smell, and sight. They observe the details of the flower and asked for the colors they needed to paint the exact flower. The children had to mix colors to get the color of the flowers. They would stop and paint each time to see if they were missing any details. They did a fantastic job on their art work!

I’m puzzled was a really fun activity. The children love doing puzzles and it a great way to practice fine motor skills, memory, and sequencing. So what more fun would it be to do a puzzle of their face.

There was a growing Red Lion Flower on the art table , the children were excited to study the flower. They were so interested on the flowers roots. The children had decided to draw the flower. The children were very detailed when drawing the roots they said that the roots were the flowers mouth. After the children had finished their drawing it was time for planting!
