The children today tried a different activity today, tracing patterns with little rocks. They first observe the pattern and tried to figure out the begginingg and the end of the pattern. Once the children began to trace their tone of voice began to change to a whisper. They were really calm while making the activity. The children loved this activity and cant wait to try it again!
Yesterday the children made a beautiful canvas. They were so excited to take it home because they said they wanted to show their family and others wanted to give it to someones special. They first painted their own hand . In every row they would add one more hand print practicing their math skills. Once finished they saw they had created a special tree out of their hand prints. They put a finishing touch by adding a glittery star!
When meeting time started the children first rushed to see the calendar. They wanted to make sure we were still in December. And then they wanted to count how many days we have been in the month of December and the days left until Christmas. They were excited to see that they had four days left. They wanted to pretend that it started to snow so we decided to make a snow globe and pretend they were inside.
The children have been working on their dreidel art work. They have been having so much fun learning about different winter holidays! One of the holidays they have been learning about is Hanukkah and have been making fun art work while listening to a catchy song “Dreidel..Dreidel..dreidel i made it out of clay
Yestaurday was such a fun day for the children. They did a science experiment using a balloon, string, tape and a straw. They first put a straw through the string and helped the teacher tape the string from wall to wall. They each blew their balloons and taped the balloon to the straw without tying it. That is where the fun begins; they let go of the tip of the balloon and it flew across the string just like a rocket ship.
